You can still trade however, CIPC will consider your unique business registration number to be your name eg. K2023153725 SOUTH AFRICA.
You will be notified of unsuccessful naming and a friendly agent will assist you in getting a new name.

Tips for choosing a name
  1. Ensure to your best capabilities that the name you choose is unique
  2. Do not use any special characters in the name
  3. Do not append the words PTY LTD to the end of your name, these designations will be appended automatically based on the type of company you register

The standard financial year end for companies is normally February to match the government fiscal year, therefore it is recommended to use February as your financial year end.
